TUT: Modding old maps on halo 2

lmao!!!!

 

i no how to ftp to my xbox for splinter cell but how do i ftp my xbox for halo2 so i can connect and get to maps and thay crap

 

how do you ftp to your halo2 disc when it is in your xbox

 

you open up drive d:/ and transfer those files

 

When i put halo2 in and try to connect with fxp or ftp it can't connect how do i get it to connect

Great instructions on uploading modded maps, but I can't seem to get XBox Live to work. Any clues ? I can play XBL when I boot normally, and I can FTP to my XBOX from any computer on my network.

i havent really read into the the whole old maps modded on xbl yet but im sure you can ask one of our other members, it's not that im dumb i just havent been on lately and need to catch up on certain things lol.

 

Before we have any more idiotic posts about playing modded maps on live just consider this.. taken from the Live terms and conditions.

So you can all see it's against the rules to use modded content in any way on live. Not just halo but across the whole network.
A very nice tutorial on how to mod halo2 for the 360 was removed recently for advocating it worked on live, and was ok to cheat.. Not so obviously..

 

I appreciate you calling me an idiot. It's nice to know that people base their perception on one question. So here is another idiotic question, since we have established my IQ. What's the point of modding maps? I understand Bungie's concern about cheating, which I support, but playing modded maps for fun is illegal? Then why not ban posts altogether about SoftModding and Hard Modding?

Jan did not not call you idiotic, she called your question idiotic (just to verify). To your most recent question, playing modded maps is illegal only on live. Microsoft does not want their boxes modded because of economic issues with being able to do many more things with a modded xbox rather than a regular one. We don't ban all posts together because we are not neccessarily talking about mods on live, and we don't give advice to people who use cheating mods.

 

Very true teak and jan.....i dont play mods online because i really dont like to cheat.....but this tut was only to inform you how to mod the old maps...if this tut was to tell you how to get online with them it would say it in the title.

okay i have halo 2 game copyed halo 2 to a blank dvd and halo 2 on xbox so how do you mod old maps on live i already mod new maps and inow how to ftp and get ppfs and all that stuff so were do you get the maps and ppfs and were do you put them onthe copyed halo 2 or halo 2 on haardrive were SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
