I think im just going to spend $20 on a chip. Seems like to much hassle using the Max Drive Pro method.

hmmm..... really it just relies on what burner you have and what discs you use... whether you get a chip or not u still need a burner and 8cm disc's... just get the right one's and all you need is to get the max drive pro... 4 me it took 10 minutes to get working.. its been prefect ever since.

yea, but you have to boot with the max drive pro each time, correct? Plus, the chip is half the price.

very true but i dont care about booting up games because modding with a chip is a huge headache for me....There would be a forum like this just for "Opening the case" Then thers all the people who mess up.... its so confusing. There an unlimited amount of bios to choose from.... on top of all that crap u loose your warranty.

I tried with xbox... i really did.. i got as far as succesfully installing the chip and flashing... then i had to "NETWORK" to my pc.... needless to say ITS NOT FINISHED and i had to make it past so many opstacles to get where i got with the thing..... to me thats a "Hassle".

I dont even want to here the word "CHIP" again in my life. Max drive Pro was accomplished the day it arrived, i was playing over 10 burned games. Im still using it and i havent read a problem yet why there should even be a modchip for people that just want to play burned games.

None for mini dvd. I bought a 520 case for regular dvd's and cd's which is only $24.50 and comes with 2 free 24 cd wallets and free shipping.

As Axel stated, looks like Newegg has the best deal.

Meritline price is after MIR. Plus, you only get (1) rebate.

Im getting them from Newegg. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have quite bad experience with code junkies so far. I place an order April 22, waited 8 days and when nothing happened, I tried to contact codejunkies: I send email to codejunkies, another to datel and try to call canadian and US customer service, but I got no answer to my emails and I was unable to reach anybody by the phone, just automated system, where I left my number, but they didn't bother to call me back. Finally, then on May 3, I got email from codejunkies that the product has been shipped and should arrive soon. On May 7, I got another email from codejunkies, saying that unfortunately, the product is out of stock. And that I shouldn't worry they will ship it as soon as they get a new delivery. In addition, they said that I will know when they shipped the product as they will charge money on my credit card only when they ship the product. But they charged my credit card already on April 22!

Does anybody has similar experience with codejunkies? What do you guys recommend me to do? I would really like to get max drive pro for my gamecube.

For anyone living in the uk you can buy bulkpaq mini dvds from burn-media.co.uk 25 discs for under £5.00 and they work a treat.

ok, about 2-3 days after ordering the Max Drive Pro they said my credit card has been rejected. even though, about 1 and a half months later, [bold]IT ARRIVED[/bold]. now about the media for burning, i have 2 options, either i can buy ritek minis for 2.4$ each(please note i'm not in the UK nor US), OR 25 [bold]Silver-Line[/bold] minis for 22.4, i cannot buy one of each, since the silver-lines are special order, i can only buy a 25 pack. so, did anyone hear about silver-line minis? better yet have used them for burning gamecube games and know the success rates? i've got a NEC ND-3550A burner. i've had minimal problems getting the GCoS onto the memory card, but it's on it and it's running fine. about the people who said that their package didn't say anything about it being max drive [bold]PRO[/bold], neither did my package, but it said it's got a "HI SPEED USB PORT FOR PC CONNECTION", and the 2 cds were in the manual, which also implied that it was PRO.
ANYWAY, about the silver-line minis, please tell me if its a good idea to get them, thanks in advance ZC.
