Ok, what do I do if the PC recognizes the stick as the Nintendo thing, instead of thinking it's a Buffalo whatever?

ok. so lol. im stuck on step 2.. call me a noob, but! i had it working. all i did was added a new hardware connection, dont remember exatly what i did, but installed buffalo things, then i could see this screen:

    <a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/2732/kickassiownkz1.png" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" /></a>

    theres a picture to it.
but afterwards, like 5 minutes later, the whole thing shut down. and it now has a problem of code 10, that it cant launch.

Lucky, I'm having trouble Installing the Buffalo Drivers on my USB connector. I followed EVERYTHING from the video and it's still regoinized as WIFI USB connector. And The connector is being regonizes NOT as a wireless adaptor. I'm thinking because the Buffalo Drivers aren't installed. PLEASE HELP!!

ok i solved my own problem. i installed the drivers. all i had to do was install ASUS... lol

then it started working.. i just wanted to use it as a wireless adapter to get internet for my computer cuz im networked to parents computer... dog chewed ethernet cable one day lol... too lazy to get another. so yeah. it works. when i get a PSP, ill try to get that to work.. but yeah, it works for me.

    thx for the guide!

its prolly still known as wifi connector cuz u havent installed ASUS and had it install the right adapter. so yeahhh try that. i dunno what else to try.. i only did part of the things because i wasnt going to make it into a soft ap, just into a station.

so im done rambling now lol.

Hi, I have a bit of trouble, I'm able to recive a signal, but not able to connect to the server my DS says, I have changed the IP address multiple times, and I don't know what else to do. Please help!

    *edit*
I've found something interesting, whe I go to ASUS Connection tab, when I'm trying to connect to it, It keeps going from 70 to 0 bytes revieved, does that mean its constantly dropping the connection?

Can anyone give me an example of what the CPU IP address, Wifi usb IP address, and DS IP Address?

I got to step 6 and then fell over. I cannot untick the Enable ICS checkbox, as it is greyed out. Just clicking on the SoftAP tab in Config gives me this error:

I have the same error when I click over to the SoftAP tab.

Another thing I noticed is that if I try to continue onto the next step, and go to the advanced tab of my internet connection there is no ICS stuff under the windows firewall box.

Any idea how to fix this?

Unlike these other folks I got this working fine. PSP's browser is working great. I can also get on my Wii Shop Channel. But my DS doesn't want to get on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. I figured maybe Nintendo is stopping these kinds of connections. Which is unfortunate because I spent a ton of money on this little thing and just so I can use only THEIR hardware with it? Thanks NOA. But is this actually the case, can people who got it working before still use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for games? Like I said, connection is working totally fine on my PSP. Tetris DS even sees green bars for a bit, then the animations kinda freeze on and off, I might even get into the part where I pick worldwide or friends once in a while, but no further and I get kicked off. Unable to connect to WFC with this ID.

EDIT: I just managed to get in a WFC game and stay. I wonder what was wrong ALL AFTERNOON today. Maybe the connection is just fickle.

Ive read through this thread and I am aware of using the ds wifi adapter to use psp online but can this method also be used to let my daughters laptop access the web via it also?

silaslang, ANYTHING that uses Wifi can use it, it makes it a free for all access point just like if you had a router acting as an access point.

Is there anyway to format my regular cruzer mini 1.0 GB flash drive to support wii internet? its works with my other PC's but wont support wii. I was thinking extracting the files already in the original wifi usb into my usb. I already have the software. Could this possibly work?

Loaderror thanks for that info, I will give it a go this week.

Knuck1ez , your normal usb stick has no way of transmitting so that wont work.
