    Hi,

I followed the instructions in the video but cant get my ds to connect using the wifi adapter.
I turn my ds on with mario kart inside and try to connect but get error code 52000.
I go to wifi settings and try to connect but get the same error number.
I tried to bridge the connection but it did not work same error.
I also tried sharing the connections.
I tried to enter the ip address into the ds but it kept saying settings are invalid can someone please help me here with what i have to enter into the ds.
    There is :ssid/wep key/auto obatin ip addy?/ip address/subnet mask/gateway/prim dns/second dns what do i change or enter??
Please help as i woul love to get it to work.
I also heard that you have to change either the wifi adaptor or int connection on the pc to sharded is this correct?
    Thanks in advance.

    Shane

    Hi m8,

Tried but still can not connect.
Am i meant to have either my int connection or the wifi adaptor connection sharing?
Also with the wifi adaptor do i make it its own ip address or use auto obtain?

    Cheers Shane

The card settings sould be open . Go back into your network settings and right click on your wireless network connections. Click on properties and this will bring up your wireless network properties in here you should see a menu, move the menu till you see network protocol, highlight this then click on the properties in this menu. In the next window you will find your wifi connections "IP"(192.168.0.1) or what ever the number is. Write this number down and also make note of the subnet mask as well. Close the windows and now you can set up your DS .
    SSID.....DEFAULT

    AUTO IP NO

IP ADDRESS 192.168.0.2 my nintendo ip is 192.168.0.1 found under internet protocol properties, notice I just changed the last number by going up 1

SUBNET MASK WILL BE FOUND IN THE SAME SPOT MUST BE THE SAME.

GATEWAY Same as your nintendo connector (IP)192.168.0.1 LIKE MINE

    Auto obtain DNS NO

Primary DNS Same as Gateway and nintendo connector

    Secondary DNS 0.0.0.0

    Under card settings.....

    Network OPEN

    Data Encrytion DISABLED

    Network name DEFAULT

    Channel 1

Hello again I was trying to figure out your problem when I decided to start fresh with the DS . I left my settings the same in the #1 spot but tested a new connection on the 3rd spot using auto search mode and what do you know it worked. So knowing this I erased all my connections in the DS and try'd again using spot #1 and again no problem. So give this a try if it don't work the problem is with your network connection settings. I'm not running any bridge and don't think this is a nessasary step.

    Under card settings.....

    Network OPEN

    Data Encrytion DISABLED

    Network name DEFAULT

The other thing I thought of is
Remember to put your mac address of the DS into your access control, under asus wlan card settings

Then how can you connect if you don't have access?

See I have my psp a DS and my daughter has a DS as well and if their mac address's are not in the accept control panel you have no access, however you can test the connection and it will say its good but will not let you on once you try to play. I think what I'm going to do is right a much more simpler way with more detail, not saying the other way shouldn't work but there seems to be alot of ?'s if your not use to opening certain files. But double check as you should have your mac address accepted or else it must be disabled and allowing all to use your connection!

Your running a disabled access point alowing all to use your connection, not bad if you live in a remote place but if you live in a city /town then I would change that to accept and enter your mac address for these (psp/DS). Yes it will work but not a secuere connection.
