but you have to remember the NWUSBC's range of wifi sucks.
so if someone wanted to steal my connection they would have to be right in front of my house.

    Hi,

I dont think its the wireless settings on the pc i think its the settings on the ds itself.
I have entered the mac address and still no go.
Can someone please run through the settings for manually entering on the ds step by step.

    Cheers Shane

Your right there but my PSP can get about 40 to 50 feet away depending on weather conditions. Sill why wouldn't you set it up secure. I'm not sure how a laptop would receive this connection as it would have a much wider range. See the connection depends on what your using to receive and tranmit back to the wifi connector.

Are you still running a bridge connection? As I wrote before after all settings on the computer are right you can use auto settings on the DS.

    Hi,

Yes all settings are correct on pc.
I am not bridging any connection.
sharing should be selected on my internet connection yes?
I erased the manual settings from my ds but it says on the ds "no access point within range".
If i go into mario kart and select wifi match again it says "no compatabile access point within range".
    Please help.

    Shane

    Hi,

    Just a thought.
Maybe the mac address i have on the ds will not work with the hack as it was made using mario kart ds.
Should i delete it and try again or should it work with that mac address?

    Cheers Shane

NO maybe you don't have the right mac. You find this in the wifi connectins setup under options onthe DS. Click options and then under system information.

using a different mac address wont work.
is your access control policy on accept or reject.

I think the mac is asigned to your DS. Go back into the soft ap tab and make sure you've clicked the soft ap mode setting
