It a personal laptop in my doorm room
thats the problem. you cant install this on a laptop unless its connected to the internet by using wires.
if your laptop can connect to your schools internet. then why are you trying to install the Nintendo Wifi USB Connector as a SoftAP anyway.

LOL det was funny.....so cud u post more screen shots of the connection part...cuz my usb connector wont connect to the main internet...r u sure diz iz the only way of doing this?
what is the ip on your psp.
and your nintendo wifi usb connectors ip.

wen i choose network settings den it just tell me to choose from infrastructure or ad hoc..wich one..wat r de steps to find out?

yea it is but...wen i look at the wifi connection on the pc...it sends a few packets of info every once in a while but doesnt even receive nutin....i gues dets wy its not connecting..wat cud i do?
if you have wep on. try disabling it.
i never have it on...its always disabled...and it styll wont send/receive information...?
is your computers internet connection being shared.

does your nintendo wifi usb connector only have two settings. an ip and a subnet.
it also has a gateway and the dns server thing too....?
take those off. and reenter the settings on your psp with the gateway and preferred DNS server being replaced with the ip of the Nintendo Wifi USB Connector
