You don't have the asus drivers installed, go back and start over and make sure you overwrite the existing files. (steps 1-6). Once you have done this you should be fine, then just follow the steps I sent you in your personal message. Anytime, WD
Okay, I did a system restore and started all over. I did everything in the video and followed it exactly but I cannot make the connection shared from the network connections panel thing. I made a video with my problem... http://www.4shared.com/file/11169579/32650c58/wifi_trouble.html
I watch your video and your in the wrong connection, go into the wireless connection and everything will work after that. Your really just mirroring your internet connection using the wifi connector Good luck, WD
I never watched the video about this connection, I found the 6 steps at the start work fine then with a few mods. to the setup all works fine....
I downloaded the file the RAR one but when I try to open it it says Windows cannot open this file can you help me with this?
2) Inside the Drivers folder of the RAR file, you will find modified Buffalo drivers. Install these drivers for the USB Connector. Then install the ASUS software (also in RAR file(eng_2371.zip)). When it prompts you to restart, select No. I have found that there is no need to. How do you download the RAR file(eng_2371.zip) I can find it but dunno what to do after that when I click it a whole bunch of other things pop up
Get it from the mega upload site then enter the letters in the box top right. Then click download, it should put you in que for a few seconds then download file... WD.
Ok so I made it to step 4 when I try to open ASUS Control Center it says unable to connect to wireless lan card. The tray icon will be loaded once the card is inserted... please help
Ok figured out my last problem...now on step 6 it says right click the ASUS on my system tray....well its not on my system tray...what now?
ok so like be4 I figured out my last problem...but now Im stuck..for sure. 6) Right-click on the ASUS software icon in the System Tray (bottom-right corner of screen) and select Wireless Settings. When the settings dialog opens, on the left select Config, then go to the SoftAP tab, and select Soft AP Mode. Then un-tick the Enable ICS checkbox. Then on the left click Apply. You will get a message box asking if you really want to change to SoftAP mode, click Yes. A message will come up saying something like "add the adapter to the network bridge", just ignore it and click OK. If all has gone well, there will be no error messages. Now close the ASUS Wireless Config utility or it will start conflicting when we manually set ICS. It doesn't let my unclick it
Right click My computer then click on properties, then hardware, then device manager then click on network adaptors here you should see the wireless connector click on this and enable this device then click OK and you should be up and running. If you don't see it then go back and repeat the first few steps. I've sent you a how to set up your connection in your personal mail. Hope this helps as I'm going to bed. If not I'll send something in the morning. WD.
Don't un click this is wrong leave this checked and follow the instuctions I sent and you should have no problems. You can send me your props later... WD
I can't get past the second step. Whenever I plug in the nintendo wifi adapter, it's only detected as the Nintendo Usb adapter and not the Buffalo wireless lan. I've tried manually installing the drivers to the Nintendo USB device under my Device Manager, but it says that it's the incorrect driver and/or it isn't designed for x64.
Sounds like you have used the nintendo drivers, so before you start go back and remove this program and all files. Reboot and then proceed to install this set up. WD.
