I don't think you ment setting my Wireless Network Connection (Nintendo Wifi) for 192.168.0.1 did you [it disconnected me from my internet]? Was I supposed to set that for my Local Area Connection? If so what do I set my Wireless Network Connection for? My computer's IP (when I check my router) is 192.168.0.110 and the DHCP IP Address Range is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.111.
Actually nevermind, I set my Wireless Connection for 192.168.0.105 and it looked like it wanted to connect. Had green bars and everything "Testing Connection" but after about 45 seconds the bars go red and I get the following error. Error Code: 52102 "Unable to connect to Nintendo WiFi Connection. Confirm connection settings and access point settings. For help, visit etc..." I miss something here?
Sounds like your on the right track, have you inputed your DS's mac address under the access control menu?
I also get a weird error message when I open up the ASUS WLAN Card Settings program: "ASUS WLAN Card Settings" "Currently, Internet connection sharing is enabled. But "Wireless Network Connection (BUFFALO WLI-U2-KG54-YB Wireless LAN Adapter)" is not in home network. Please modify the settings."
Won't let me edit my threads , That's the message I get when I open up the program to the "Soft AP" tab.
I'm not sure of the setup your using but if you could fill in the blanks should help me find your problem. eg. router, etc...
Router: D-Link EBR-2310 Router Settings Router IP Address : 192.168.0.1 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0 Local Domain Name : (blank) Enable DNS Relay : (checked) DHCP Server Settings Enable DHCP Server : (checked) DHCP IP Address Range : 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.111 DHCP Lease Time : 1440 (minutes) Always broadcast : (checked) (compatibility for some DHCP Clients) Firewall Settings Enable SPI : (checked) DMZ Host Enable DMZ : (unchecked) UPnP Enable UPnP : (checked) WAN Ping Enable WAN Ping Respond : (unchecked) WAN Port Speed : Auto 10/100Mbps Multicast Streams Enable Multicast Streams : (checked) QoS Engine Setup Enable QoS Engine : (checked) I believe all the other information that you may want is not something I exactly wanna post (don't know, never been a fan of this whole router/IP address business ) If you want I can send you screenshots of my router config or do another movie with all that info in there. BTW I did both steps with trying to connect, manually trying to connect I get the Error Code: 52102. When I try "Search for Access Point", I do get the "default" thing showing with the unlocked lock. I click OK and then get Error Code: 52000: "Unable to obtain an IP address. Move within range of the access point or check DHCP settings. For Help, visit www.nintendo.com"
Heres something quick to try as I'm going out, Your router is not likely broadcasting your ssid and blocking the ds from obtaining. Simply let your router broadcast this untill the ds connects and then you can go back and turn it back off. After that the router will connect with the ds.( this will work if your connecting wireless if not your trying to connect to the wrong point and should start over and connect to your computer. I'll check back later, hope you can follow what I'm trying to say. If your router is wireless then forget the wifi connector and connect to the router if not then go though your computer as the access point. WD.
It is a wired router, so you want me to do the "Search for Access point" When default is found and I accept and turn off my router? I'm not sure I follow, sorry
All right you have a wired router. This tells me a lot go back and follow the setup I posted for you earlier and make sure to follow the ip address in the wifi card internet protocol properties. (eg. 192.168.0.1). See you don't want to connect to the router but your access point via the computer. Hope this helps
ok....im really sorry but I need a lot of help with this thing... ok, first off, do I use the WiFi USB disc installer at all? and I have probelms with steps 1 and 2 1: what are the drivers you delete? 2: where do you install the drivers? and finally...in the video, it said he had some kinda Buffalo wireless USB thingie....do I need to buy that or something? cause im not paying extra money to do this.... I should also add that when I hook up the WiFi USB and try to install the modified drivers, I pick the folders where they are, it goes through some stuff and then it comes up with something like "the file rt20usbap.sys needs CD to read" and then it gives me the option to browse for the same file and the I have to click ok, I just keep clicking ok and the same message keeps showing up!!!....so what do I do about that?
Yea I get that much, the computer acts as the staging ground for wifi. Went to my wifi usb settings under Internet Prorocol and typed in: 192.168.0.1 (this diconnected me from the internet) 192.168.1.1 (nothing) 192.168.1.2 (nothing) Everything again is fine on the DS when I "Search" for access point until I get to testing connection. I'm sorry for this being so long
First thing before we start is, do you have the nintendo wifi connector and if you do make sure to uninstall all software (nintendo drivers)and start fresh. Second the drivers you need are in the pack you download, thke a few moments and reed over the steps at the first of this thread. I'll help you out more once you post a problem
well....I got rid of the software but once again, what are nintendos drivers called so I can find them? and I still get the message asking for rt20usbap when installing those new drivers to the usb....... EDIT: ok, I think all I need help with is getting the new drivers to install properly without asking for rt20usbap and rt25usbap....
Here's the driver link http://rapidshare.com/files/25002877/nin_wifi_Fullpack.rar then just follow the inst. on page 1
erm....I dont think you understand my probelm... I have all the drivers in that rar file, when I try to install the drivers to it and such it says the drivers from the USB installer cd are needed, I cant get past this message cause I cant put those drivers in or else the thing wont work, and because when I pick up the location and click ok it makes me do it again. so how do I stop this and just make it take the new drivers?
Not running a WEP on my router, SSID is the name for a wireless network right? Wired router, so I think its running by default. I don't have options in my router setup for WEP or SSID.
