That actually ended up being the problem. I forgot to do that again when I re-installed.

Now I've gone through all of the steps, but I can't seem to get my DS connected. It gives me error code 52200, telling me to confirm connection settings and access point settings. I also tried connecting my PS3, but that also didn't work. It told me there was a "DNS problem" or something like that. I checked my firewall settings, and I'm not sure what programs to add besides "Wireless.exe". I also double check my IP settings and such, so I'm not sure what's going on. Thanks for any help.

@ metalfan6 do your network authentication on "shared" and check that access control is on "disable"

Don’t know if this helps, but I too was having trouble, and after following the video from Kcajblue (pg. 7) I was still unable to connect, until I turned off my firewall from McAfee. Everything is working perfectly; however, when I turn on my firewall I get disconnected. So I am going to reinstall the software, while my firewall is off, and hopefully this will allow me to connect while having my firewall on.

    P.S. Sorry for my English

Make sure in your firewall settings that you,ve enabled the exception for the wifi connector

    Try this set up

    Data Encrption: Disabled

    Soft AP Tab:

    Check The Soft AP Mode

    Check To Enable The ICS

    Access Control Tab:

    Access Control Policy: Accept

Access Control List: This is were you input your mac address of your DS found under Nintendo WFC Settings,Options,System Information there you'll find your Mac Address 00-00-00-00-00-00 eg. Just note this is were you would input additional hardware addresses as well ( PSP, Laptop Eg.). Then of course you click add. Now you'll see that same address under the list of Mac Addresses Allowed To Be On The Network.

Now go back to the basic tab and click on advanced make sure under the 54g Mode its 802.11b only. All the other settings should not to be touched. But if you want to know here's what mine are set to.

    RTS Threshold: 2347

    Fragmentation Threshold: 2347

    Preamble Mode: Long

    Frame Bursting: Disabled

    54g Mode: 802.11b only

    54g Protection: Auto

    Use Short Slot Time: Disabled

Important after making any adjustments to click on OK on the bottom left before closing tab.

Ok try your DS by going into nintendo WFC, then nintendo WFC Settings,Nintendo WiFi Connectin Settings. Erase all previous settings. Now pick a connection 1,2 or 3 now search for access point, after a few moments it should come up with a screen showing a default connection thats unlocked and a signal, Click OK. It will show a new Connection 2 Settings screen press OK again and it will set up your DS connection for you. After its done it should say connection successful and then go back to the Connection setup screen. Now just back out and your ready to Play. If you wanted to go into the connection setup screen again ,you'll see that the connection you choose has changed the erase settings to yellow from white meaning its saved. Now Go Have Fun !!!!

Any problems I'll try to help you figure it out.

I'm not familier with that software. But you say it has a mac address so it must be able to connect with something. So I would have to guess yes it will work as this hack will let anything connect to the wifi connector not just the nintendo as their software does with drm. So if you know that the emulator lets you connect to the internet, computer, etc. Then go for it but remember that a cheap router is almost the same price and will work faster, from a further distance and easier. I hope I anwsered your ?.

    Hello! I have a question...
You know how this can also be used in station mode? welli was wondering if there was a way to enter a WPA code somehow? (the only encryption available is wep) Maybe through some driver update?

i dont think you can change the encryption to wpa, and i personally think its better without it anyway.

Well I've just about narrowed down the problem. I have Verizon Security Suite, and when I temporarily disabled its firewall, I was able to connect. But of course, I would rather keep the firewall on, so does anyone know the exact programs I should allow?

This is ticking me off to no end... I've tried setting things the way Nintendo's WiFi software wants and that gives the insert USB connector error at the end of the installation. I've tried using the Soft AP software listed HERE and I get address violations from the Wireless.exe when trying to change to AP mode. Any ideas as to WHY it's doing this?

(By the way I even had the router's internal IP set to 192.168.2.1 like Nintendo.com recommends and still all this BS...)
