tv sound thru reciever

    I am interesting in getting the pioneer 517svk or something like that home theater reciever.My question is what inputs will I use to get reg tv channels to come thru the reciever.

    the receiver will (or should have) left & Right Phono inputs. (red & white).
    Your TV will also need these as an output and with a function that allows your TV's speakers to be turned off when you enable the auxilliary output. It would also be preferable if the TV aux output volume could be varied so you can control overall volume for TV watching via the TV remote although some av receiver remotes can be programmed to work basic TV functions anyway.
