Hi all,bristol has just gone dark.it looks like the end for my trusty eurovox.

i would just like to thank all the people who have helped me keep it running,well past its sell by date.

i may not have posted much,but over the years i have learnt so much.

St Albans seems to be in the dark aswell now, only channels we have left are sky sports 1,2,3 & 4. Hoping they will last til the weekend for Manchester United game ! But can't see it !

 

think the aim to have them all knocked off as quick as possible and before the WC

 

But it shouldn't matter about the world cup as they will be shown on BBC & ITV in HD

 

like I said as quick as possible, but yeah, they are trying to stop people stealing cable, so why doddle along........

 

I suppose, i liked there channel trying to convince you to register with them. I am tempted to join anyway for there 50mb broadband !

 

to be honest, some of the deals on offer is very good, in Ire they are doing a good deal on TV / phone / BBAND via UPC, but yeah, pays to shop and look about

 

My starview 3 has died today in Liverpool

 

Yh well i am a heavy broadband user so thats swaying me towards VM but there lack of HD compared to Sly comes into it aswell which is swaying me to towards Sly. But obviously if i can get the TV from free its much better !!

airvine i live on the wirral and the same thing happened to my sv3 try doing a factory reset and rescan it worked for me

My eurovox is still going m8.
It might be coming but not all Bristol is affected.

 

all you need to do is re-set your box, remove any splitters, connect the box directly to the cable coming in and re-scan, may take a few scans to pull in the chans, thats if you have recd a card in the last 2 to 3 weeks, then its the nagra switch happening
