Harrow received new cards yesterday and specific channells were down but came back after a short time. Have got the samsung cab*e box which is working fine atm.
Have just read back a few pages and read that starview and kryptview new boxes will work but they are both Cab*e boxes so how can they. as far as i know VM now update encryption every few minuites in N3 so how can one of these boxes work? Is it via card shar*ng or it will work like the boxes we all have now?
How long till other boxes switch off after card has been received? Card received yesterday so how long do we have before full N3 switchover?

there are various threads regarding the workings of the starviews and the kryptviews...in a nutshell,a valid internet connection is required.both these boxes have an ethernet port for this.just connect directly or via plugs/adapters(not initially) your router to your box and make sure the right firmware is loaded.after recieving card,3-4 weeks max before you lose all channels..these boxes come with an inbuilt connection to c/s.

Thanks mate, 3-4 weeks is not to bad i heard a week they would be gone .
And regarding the starview and kryptviews i understand the internet required but will they only work via c/s or will i get all channels through VM line as i am now?

you will get what you had on your other box as long as you have a live feed just like before and have a working broadband feed as well

    Oh wow that sounds amazing?
But i thought the only way was c/s and nothing could crack N3?
How would this possibly work then?

Hiya mate, gone through a few threads on the forums. From what i understand the starview will only last 12 months and is a prepaid c/s box?
    No info in the kryptview.
Would you be kind enought to give me a few details as to how the boxes work(how they bypass N3) and how long they would last for approx and finally if they are basically c/s boxes like the dreambox?

No mate misunderstood. I mean the process of how it works is complicated and understanding how the process works is quite confusing. I understand how to connect it all up and from what i read the concept is basically c/s but using a specific server?
If whats said above is correct can you just simply tell me what server it uses?

LOOL i understand what your saying completely mate, what i mean is the server is preloaded into the box afaik so is the server run by someone or run by the company on the box?
or am i in the wrong direction and it has nothing to do with c/s?
