get a long ethernet cable from your router to your box or use hot plugs

    Lan connection=local area connection (broadband)
    if you are with virg*n
you can move the modem/router and connect it to the cable closer to your tv?
as i can move mine to the bedroom, sitting room, kitchen
as long as i have cable connection in each room

hooter007 If you move the modem/router nearer the TV, I take it that you would have to use a splitter to connect the TV and modem/router. Is this correct and ok to do? Also my router is connected to my PC via a cable.

how do you connect your bx you have now ??

you connect a new ethernet cable from a open space on your router to the box

and you connect your cable to the box just like before

as e45 said yes it will work
does your computer have wifi on it?
if not you could always have a look for a wireless card or a wifi adaptor dongle

hooter007 My PC does not have wifi, but I have a spare wifi usb adapter I can use. Your method certainly does away with a long ethernet cable which I was anticipating using, thanks.
