Wireless interference will always mean the hard wired route is preferred.

Then there is the security aspect - if you are not running encryption to at least WPA preferably WPA2 then you run the risk of someone piggybacking onto your network to download all sorts of things from illegal movies to child porn or even stealing your financial info etc.

If you want reliability its got to be ethernet cable.

agreed mate, will definately look into that, i have had the splitting the bill idea in my head for some time, as iirc there are 10+ boxes in the family.. soon to be binned... so by doing what you suggest ;) - sounds v.v good just for the family alone!

do you know anything on this?

Hi, been following this thread for ages, some great advice from e45 and hooter, i've got a query that i don't think anyone has asked yet.
Got 2 starview's in ours, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, been running the one in the bedroom via a very long and hidden lead from the cable output of the one in the living room.

Is it possible to do this with the kryptview, or is multi room/multi box viewing not possible with Nag 3?

same process mate, but instead of running the vermin coax through the floor, you'll need to buy the same length wire in ethernet (the type u use to connect your modem to pc- sorry if you already knew this)

no you cant you need seperate feeds for both boxes including ethernet cable as well or use home plugs which you will need 3 of them to work 2 boxes

    2. any more news on the kryptview hd
    3. do any of the working cs boxes allow multiroom via rf output
    4. are the cs servers for starview really that unreliable compared to kryptview
    5. heard of ddigital box cant find much info on this though
    6. do any of the boxes also auto sort the channels like starview4 etc
