    Thanks e45, I will try and sort out the homeplugs later, once I have got my box working, I am beginning to wonder if it's working correctly.

    I downloaded the firmware (it said download successful).

    I have connected the box to the router with an ethernet cable, it's in Lan4 port. My broadband connection goes in to router's Wan port. When I turned my box on, I expected to see a light come on the router showing it was in Lan4 port, but no light comes on.

    I have scanned the box, everything seems okay, until I look at the channels. Only the 5 terrestrial channes are available the rest are scambled. I have also noticed that there are lots of the same channel i.e 22 ITV1's.

    So I am not sure if I have a faulty box, or have made the wrong connection's.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    so you scanned on all and not network ?? as you would not have that many bbc1 channels

    signal good what do you call good need % same with quality.

    best thing for you to do now is menu installation factory default the box turn off at the back 30 seconds then back on then do a new scan this time only set your Provider and leave the scan set at default and press the green button after that list of net id pick your one and then press ok

    Signal quality = 77 - 88 %

    Network = telewest
    Channel search type = network

    List id
    Liverpool TDN

    I get all the channels, but when I go to them they are scambled, except for the 5 terrestrial channels and the VM channels.

    a few had these problems with the starview.6 and most got it sorted with a different lan cable, some had to try more than 1
    even though they work on your computer may not on your box!
