alien you think your speed sucks. In South Africa(on a 512kb line ) it costs us R680 per month to download 3gigs, after that we get cut of the net completely.

    R680 = $110 (about 61 pounds)

How is that for a cock up.

Checked out torrentbytes, full up :( must be real good if there is no room for new members, (and good uploaders :) *sigh*, shall have to try later :)

    1) Isohunt
    2) Torrentreactor - you never know what you are going to get -
    3) Torrentazos, despite the huge amount of spam & banners....

Special mention - Pirate bay - Also very good site and they are unique in the way they deal with the major corps - lol

    1a2a3a4,

Go to http://broadbandreports.com go to speed tests, and select the nearest city/country to your home and take the test again.

    Good luck!

    Hello!

I have a big problems with BIT COMET 0.59. My download is very poor about 15kb/s average.

On the test my download speed is 722kb/s and upload speed is 120kb/s.

Do you think that an average of 15kb/s is the best what can I download or can be higher?

I have set upload limit 12 kb/s. Is this ok?

    What about these settings?

    1. Your Tweakable Settings:
    Receive Window (RWIN): 65535
    Window Scaling: off
    Path MTU Discovery: ON
    RFC1323 Window Scaling: OFF
    RFC1323 Time Stamping: OFF
    Selective Acks: ON
    MSS requested: 1452
    TTL: unknown
    TTL remaining: 116
    TOS/TOS subfield: 0
    TOS/Flags:

    2. Test 1024001 byte download
    Actual data bytes sent: 1032713
    Actual data packets: 714
    Max packet sent (MTU): 1492
    Max packet recd (MTU): 1492
    Retransmitted data packets: 6
    sacks you sent: 174
    pushed data pkts: 28
    data transmit time: 12.751 secs
    our max idletime: 684.3 ms
    transfer rate: 73615 bytes/sec
    transfer rate: 588 kbits/sec
This is not a speed test!
    transfer efficiency: 99%

    3. ICMP (ping) check
    Target unpingable

    Is this ok?

I also use a router Canyon CN-BR1. I think that this is the main problem that i don't have the router set up properly for bit comet!?

Please if somebody know what is wrong or what can I set up for higher download help me. I don't know a lot about this, how is this working with router because I have bought a router 2 weeks ago. Help please.

    Thanks!

    1a2a3a4,

How many seeders and leechers are there? try one with MORE seeders than leechers, please follow every step of my guide before posting again.

Ok, for those of you having problems with step 9, here goes.

Note: This only applies to http://isohunt.com.

    1. Open Isohunt and search for the torrent of your choice. Click on it and you will see a tracker list.

Take those trackers, and copy them to notepad. Then start the download and paste the tracker list here in Bitcomet.

    Good luck!

Does it help at all to subscribe to the trackers?

Yes, because it helps you connect to as much seeds as possible.

just checked, and im already using all the trackers provided with my download from isohunt, and i only ever get about 5kb/s if im lucky, this is worse than dc++, why could it be that im getting such slow download speeds?? Its the same for anything i download at any size. Please could someone help? I'd never dream of getting anything over 20kb/s, but i should do as we've got 1mb broadband!
