Hello. You devices do not appear to be in the DMA (direct memory access) transfer mode. They should be. Here's a guide: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f61/troubl...cking-dma-windows-vista-xp-2000-me-9x-101616/ The media you're using is made by CMC Magnetics and isn't of the highest quality. Watch for sales of Verbatim or any disks labeled as Made in Japan, especially Sony and Fuji. They may in fact be in the correct mode and Nero misreporting, but you'll have to check. You can also try burning with ImgBurn (free). http://www.imgburn.com

It looks like you tried to burn at 12X which is probably too fast for this lower quality media. Try 8X, 6X and 4X. The power calibration error could be related to the media or it could be a hardware problem. The most likely is the media.

If the controller says it's on, it is. nvidia controllers often don't report correctly to Nero which is why I said earlier you'd have to check. The log shows you burning at 16X which is too fast. Check your burn speed settings before burning. Edit: text added below I must have been looking at an earlier log. I see the speed was 4X. Two things to do. - try some other media like Verbatim. - install your drive in another system and see if it works. If not, the drive is faulty. I have that drive and it's normally a good one but they do go wonky.

You're welcome. Just watch for sales. All media eventually goes on sale. Online purchasing works well also as long as you know what you're getting and from whom. Buy only from reputable online merchants. Online I would only buy Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim.
