I would really like to purchase an iphone 3g however I am so afraid to buy one due to the fact that at&t does not work the greatest. With that said I am looking as we speak in purchasing an iphone but trying to figure out which provider to go with. Questions: what is the cheapest provider to have for the full usage of the iphone? Once I pick a provider how would I go about getting a sim card? Once I have the Iphone and sim card how would I go about setting it all up so that the provider I had will work on the iphone? Last question I was reading somewhere? and they had stated that apple now has something that if you have a hacked iphone and you plug it into itunes to update stuff it will lock completly and the person would not be able to use it? I am nto sure if this is true or not but like I said just trying to find out which way is the best way to go here when purchasing an iphone! Thanks for all the help
