I started out with an invalid block address problem and read the forum posts dealing with that. I Uninstalled Nero and used clean tool then checked my firmware for the burner I'm using and it's the latest that LiteOn had on the site. Downloaded Adaptec Aspi and ran ASPICHK which didn't show an aspi layer so I installed it Version 4.71.20.

After all that when I tried to burn again I got the invalid burn phase and at the end of the burn it failed. I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me as to what the problem could still be. I changed burners because the same thing was happening to the Plextor external burner I was using. I put that burner into another machine and it works fine. This burner worked fine too before I swapped it.

Here's the log of my last burn:

    Did you install 'InCd'?
If you did, try a cleanout and fresh install of Nero without InCd, but before reinstalling, try burning something with the likes of IMGBurn or DVD Decrypter just to prove your burner and media are ok.

Thank you attar. I'm betting that it's not my burner since I removed it from this machine and put it in another one and it burned fine. The media, same thing. Used it as well. I put the burner back in this machine and have had 3 successful burns but instead of the normal listing of what stage the burn was at all I get is "Unknown Burn Phase". Even at the end of the burn when the successful burn message usually comes up, the box pops up and says... you got it... "Unknown Burn Phase"
