Hello this forum was made to help people learn how to mod their xbox. Ok lets get started. Materials Needed: 1. Action Replay (With memory card) 2. An xbox (This mod will not work on xbox 360's.) 3. Splintercell (nonplatinum edition) Step by Step guide on Unleashx Softmodding: 1. Download the linux installer at this sites download page. 2. Make sure you have action replay installed on your computer. Note: Hook up usb adapter and memory card. 3. Go to action replay software and download the install files on to the memory card. Note: (Both files may not fit on memrycard, please download one and come back and downlod the other to your xbox.) 4. Once you have saved theses files under memory on the xbox please put in splintercell and go to load game and load the game save that sais linux by selecting it. 5. when you see the screen that say's checkpoints and levels select checkpoint to enter the softmod installer you saved off of your memory card to the hardrive. 6. After it loads the purple background screen with two language selections come up, select english. 7. Once you have selected english select unleashx on the menu. 8. Once this is loaded up you might be brought to a green screen that has step 1 and step 2 selections on the menu. 9. Select step one then scroll down and select step 2, then it will bring a message up saying this might take awhile. 10. It want take awhile, it will only take a minute or so to load. 11. once the purple screen is loaded to another menu select one of the dashboards and install it. 12. Once you have installed this the xbox will ask you to turn off your xbox and turn it back on to boot to the instaled softmod. UNLEASHX FEATURES: 1. Change skins and backgrounds on the main menu of the xbox. 2. Copy a game to the hardrive. (Note: What you should do is rent games from blockbuster and copy them to your xbox hardrive.) 3. View,delete,copy files under File Explorer. 4. Watch dvd movies on the xbox without the 30 dollar dvd remote kit, just one hit of a button and your dvd movies are playing. 5. Ftp to your xbox from one or multiple computers to your xbox. what does this feature do? This feature enables you to copy to/from the xbox hardrive or dvd drive to the computer. ( This feature is very helpful if your going to backup xbox games to your pc hardrive). 6. Adjust the fan speed in the Xbox to high or low settings. (Never run the fan on any other setting other than the default setting for long periods of time. Could result in damage to the xbox or cooling fan). 7. adjust the collor of the led light on the eject button. ( Colors that you can adjust the light to, Red,Green,Yellow). 8. Have text or a wmv video file as your xbox screensaver. 9. You can go back to the original menu and dashboard under MS Dashboard selection. 10. Download skins to the xbox for the xbox menu and backgrounds. ( must be connected to a network with internet) 11. Open and Close Dvd tray with the controller. 12. Also there are alot of other features that is with this softmod install.
