    Hi every1...
Is there someone that can help me unlock my phones?
I have 2 (one for me, and one for my Philippina-girlfriend) cell-phones with brand and model: SONY ERICSSON K800i
We're soon leaving for the Philippines, and would like to buy SIM-card there in the Philippines.
The 2 phones have the follwing IMEI number:

    3517 0701-6115 44-1-27
    3517 0701-6114 70-9-02

Both phones are locked to 3-Sweden.

It would make me (and my girlfriend) very happy if someone could help us.

all 3g phones CANNOT be unlocked!!!! yes it can be unlocked but with trial and error using code. or hardware unlocking causes damage. this thread is a waste of time.

this is nonsense.. we unlocked enough 3G phones already just by IMEI.
We supply official unlock codes as like the provider would supply and I guarantee these codes work.

that's my point. the old method of finding the code can corrupt the phone. imei has to be given on 3g phones to the network where they generate a working and acceptable code to use.

i'm not sure but if you keep trying codes it can lock your phone

perhaps some people have got unlocking hardware but it appears you have to HACK the network to generate the code. which is bad. because codes don't work unless the network has enabled the code to work. that is what the phone network i'm on told me and it makes sense

ah I think I know what you are talking about this is not gonna happen and is a load of bullshit (for now anyway)

    Let me explain:
Nowadays; phones are locked on the phone itself. It's just part of the programming on the phone.

In theory it's possible to lock phones by IMEI on the network. This would mean different providers should share IMEI information and some providers would block a certain IMEI and just one would accept this IMEI.

This would mean all providers have to work together otherwise it would defeat the purpose and share a lot of information about use on their network. This will probably never happen as a provider would also have to give away how many customers they exactly have (just countring the IMEI's another provider gets from a provider to block)

So I don't know who you have spoken too but it's nonsense. Phones are locked within the programming on the phone. Certain hardware dongles found a way around it and patch the phone (patch the firmware in the phone) so locks are ignored. Some found a direct unlock method just by sending commands to the phone (lot more difficult then it sounds) and then this is a built in option by SE from the start). And our method is the delivering the official unlock codes as a provider also would deliver if you ask them for unlock code after 1 year.

These unlock codes are also built in into the phone from the Start by SE and they are all saved in databases at SonyEricsson. And providers have access to them and we do too :)

so i presume you know how to unlock phones simply by imei?

it can't be dangerous if all you're doing is inserting a combination of letters and numbers then. in the worst case it's the wrong code and it locks the phone permanently.

isn't it dangerous just posting the imei of your phone on a public forum? because like every ip address is unique to a connection in the world. every imei is unique to a handset.

i would actually like to use my phones on other networks but considering it's costing me £15 per handset and i want quite a lot of phones unlocking, it's costing me alot. then again i am considering a new phone with a multitude of features so might forget getting old phones unlocked and buying a completely unlocked sonyericsson w910i or w960i

    Hi Salami1,
hope you're right cos I've just requested the code for my k800i from your SE site! Having been conned in to parting with £3.99 from another site for a code and instead getting instructions on how to flash the firmware...not happy about that! (will probably progress that one thru Paypal out of principle)

    fingers crossed
    Phil

could people rate the efficiency of the service and if the code worked for them or not? it would be a good idea to have reviews on this service instead of just requests.
