    Model Nokia 1100 (RH-18)
    *IMEI* 355693005702173
    Country Australia
Country Provider Telstra Mobile Comms (50501000)

    Additional Model Information
    Electronic Model Information V6.64 08-04-05 RH-18 (c)NMP

I tried the following code (twice) from one of the various calculators available about 6 months ago - So I should have 3 chances left.
Code was entered correctly and was: #pw+319746144472265+7#
    Result was "Code Error"

    Any assistance appreciated. Thank You

Age of Phone: Purchased New November 2005 in Australia from large supermarket chain in original packaging. Believed to have been manufactured August 2005. Model No on box is "Nokia 1100 L. Grey".
IMEI on box agrees with IMEI on phone. The box also shows an Item number "Item: 0059439"

From Label behind battery (exactly as shown):
    Type: RH-18 Model: 1100
    Made in Korea
    Code: 0516297

Stamped on metal clip for SIM card:
    OMC 06329
    060A6 08-05

Model details (including Firmware version?) from display screen
    V6.64 08-04-05
    RH-18 (c)NMP

Now in the format you requested so far as I am able.
    IMEI: Type *#RH-18# ,
    Firmware Version: Type *#6.64# .

Nokia: (1100) This is definitely correct
    IMEI:355693005702173
    Network: Telstra Mobile Comms
    Country: Australia

I double checked the Model and all other details given and all the details are correct.

    I hope you can help.

Your code:Try this ONCE and ONCE only. Remember,
you only get 3 to 5 tries.
[bold]If you enter the same code two times[/bold],
    that is [bold]two tries.[/bold]
    To enter code:
    Make sure battery is charged.
    Remove sim first.
    Power on.
    Ignore “Insert SIM”
    Press the # key.
then press the "star" key (*) quickly to get the P and W and +
    Press * 3 times quickly for (p) \
Press * 4 times quickly for (w) IMPORTANT
    Press * 2 times quickly for (+) /
and the rest of the code---
Begin with # and end with #.

    IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only have about two seconds.

    "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code. STOP tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked.
Used up all your free tries!!

If it does not work, tell me: What happened? What message
you got. What codes you tried.
    Above all, answer.

It worked fine - "Phone Restriction Off". Keep up the good work.

In my view PERMANENT (>1-2 yrs) locking of phones to particular networks is anti-competive, wasteful and no good for the industry in the long term.

My sincere thanks. I can now reuse this old phone instead of adding it to the huge stream of discarded phones dumped each year or, at best, recycled to recover scrap plastic & precious metals.

    I like my 1100 also.
After all, phones are for making calls and it does that well.
    You're welcome.
    Thanks for letting us know.
