Basically I think what is obvious here is that ppl want an answer to this unlocking to SPV and the unhelpful "Look at my previous answer" is not working... Rather than having a cut and past "Look at my previous answer" why not have a cut and paste of the actual answer itself ! ? I sent a message like everyone else and god the un helpful reply and gave up.... so... Please give the actual answer not the " I don't want to help you anwer" aometime like any normal forum..... not getting at you but it would be better Thanks Michael..... :>)
Instructions are : BEFORE YOU START MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP YOUR CONTACTS AND SYNCHRONIZED YOUR PHONE WITH ACTIVESYNC. BECAUSE THIS PROCEDURE WIPES ALL YOUR PHONES DATA .... IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED ACTIVESYNC GO TO THE FOLLOWING PAGE AND DOWNLOAD IT http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync38.mspx scroll down the page and click on the desired language.... YOUR PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED YOU HAVE REMOVED ANY SD CARDS FROM YOUR PHONE make sure that a.. Your SPV E200 battery is fully charged. a.. Your Personal Computer is running Microsoft WindowsR2000 or WindowsR XP. a.. You have installed ActiveSync version 3.7.1 or greater. a.. You have at least 48MB/48,000KB of free hard disk space on your PC. The free disk space accommodates the update application itself, as well as some decompressed files created while installing the ROM Upgrade; the application can be removed from your phone (and the hard disk space freed) when the update is complete. a.. You have synchronised your SPV with your PC using the SPV cradle or USB cable. a.. You have made a full backup of your phone because this procedure wipes your phone data e.g pictures you have stored in phone's memory etc... Nothing you have saved in your sd card will be affected though....... you download the latest ROM update by clicking on the SPV E200 ROM Code Upgrade Utility 2.7.1.1 using the following link http://web.orange.co.uk/assets/sw/RUU_v2.62_OrangeUK_2.7.1.1_Ship.exe if you have the english version of the phone or http://prof.estat.com/cgi-bin/ft/29..._spve200/RUU_v2.63_OrangeFR_2.7.2.2_Ship.exe? if you have the french version of the phone .... when you have done this create a directory i.e c:\spve200 run winrar if you have dont have this program you can download it for free at this page http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm you can click at winRAR 3.42 link run winrar and select the downloaded file named RUU_v2.62_OrangeUK_2.7.1.1_Ship.exe for english or RUU_v2.63_OrangeFR_2.7.2.2_Ship.exe for FRENCH extract the contents of the file to the directory you have created extract from the archive i have send you the file E20OUnlock.exe.txt to the same directory. rename the file E20OUnlock.exe.txt to E20OUnlock.exe run the file E200Unlock.exe a message will appear and you type ok to continue.... when the process is done you turn on your spv e200 and put it to the cradle. make sure you have activesync installed. REMOVE ANY SD CARDS FROM YOUR PHONE !!!!!! run the VoUpgradeUt.exe file in the specified folder wait until the program if finished PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE SPV FROM THE CRADLE UNTIL THE SOFTWARE IS FINISHED !!!! @C2000C - look...i'm glad you got an answer to your problem; however in this thread i myself could offer no help as i know nothing about phones, but my role in this thread is as moderator, and ppl posting emails isn't on. Period.
there is an easy way its freeware for all spvs afaik look in www.spv-developers.com - their free software unlocked my e200, c500 and now c600 so I am happy anyway!

Press and hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 2. Press and hold power button for around 1 to 1.5 seconds. Release power button. Keep hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 3. Later, screen should show instructions to ask user to press '0' key to reset to factory default. 4. Press '0' within the timeout period, which is only several seconds only. 5. If no instruction is shown on the screen, repeat steps 1 to 4. The timing is sensitive. What is the Application Lock? By default, most Windows Mobile Smartphone devices are shipped with certificate security enabled. This places significant restrictions on the APIs which can be called by software which has not been signed and approved by authorities 'trusted' by the device manufacturer. Why disable it? As certification is a long and expensive process, it is not an option for open-source tools, or hobbyist software developers. Therefore in order to develop for smartphone devices, or apply unofficial tweaks, it is often necessary to disable certificate security. How to disable it? To disable certificate security, a simple registry edit needs to be applied: Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies: Change the DWORD named "1001" to 1 Change the DWORD named "1005" to 40 This can only be done using a signed ('trusted') program.
