Does an unlocked iPhone still require an internet network plan if I use it with AT&T? I want to get an iphone with at&t, but they say there is a mandatory internet plan I have to get with it that's $30 a month. It seems a lot cheaper if I get an unlocked iphone in the long run, but only if i don't need to have an internet access plan with it. Do I still have to have an internet plan if I use it with at&t??
I would have to say no, because the carrier, who isnt AT&T, that i use my iphone with has a thing with smart phones that if you buy one from the carrier then you have to get the data package also, and I have been using my iphone for almost a full year. You will be able to use the WiFi perfectly fine on the iphone. But i cant promise that you wont need it, because i dont know how it works with AT&T but I cant see you needing it with an unlocked iphone.
