unlocking codes

    hi i posted a thread earlier. just wondering if i have put all details needed on the thread. and as i am a newbie can anyone tell me if they are receiving the threads i have posted

    keeps coming up code error
    is any other way i can get codes or why is it saying code error?

    Jwell...I've been looking around trying to find out how to unlock a Cingular/AT&T Sony Ericsson w580i and im seeing that a lot of unlock codes either need hardware or a certain number (code) generated dealing with the phone's IMEI number. Using the code that was given to you is the reason why you come up with that "code error" message. People are saying that you only have between 3 and 5 chances to get it right.
