Hey guys, I was wondering if there is such a software or hardware available to improve the real media video that I have to DVD quality or higher.. It would be great to be able to watch my real media video in better quality.. my google search string didn't return anything I like
The general rule is; garbage in, garbage out. You can denoise, but that will also remove some details. You can sharpen details, but that will also increase artefacts. etc. Basically if you have a low resolution crappy rm source, then you are always going to have crappy low resolution video. Find a better quality source.

Well in the case of PAL, you are basically already at 80% of 720p (vertical resolution is more important than horizontal). You still can't pull the extra pixels out of nowhere though.
