ok i already dl the bios from msi im sure i have the correct one now what do i have to do here is where im stuck

"For WinXP, you can make a DOS boot disk. Go to Your Computer, right click drive A:, select Format, select copy system files.

    7. When you get the A:\ prompt, type the following sequence:
    C: <enter>
    cd\test <enter>
    C:\test> awdfl783m BIOS file
(to save or not to save old BIOS is the user’s decision)"

i dnt c any option that says "select copy system files" (im running xp 64 bit if it matters) also where it says "C:\test> awdfl783m BIOS file" my bios the one i dld isnt called "awdfl783m" its called "AWFL859G"

the guide to updating my bios i got it inside the zip that i dl from msi

where did you copy the file you downloaded & is it still compressed? check your motherboard manual to see if it describes how to flash the bios & also see if the bios update is enabled or disabled in the bios as some boards have that feature.

it doesn't have that feature (i know what ure talking about) it was a zip i opened it there were 4 files 2 realted to the bios (one was an exe) and the other 2 were the release notes and "the guide" to flash bios ahh this is the last time i buy msi the guide looks like if it was written by a kid first it says in caps "dnt flash from a floppy" and then when u scroll the only way to flash it is with a floppy

and the manual doesn't say anything
