upgrade from 3.1.3 to 4.1

    Currently having 2g jailbreak MC model of ipod touch on 3.1.3 iSO.

    If i want to have iSO4.1 + jailbreak, can i just update from itune? Or is there any special steps i need to perform?

    If you want to update, you will lose all apps and stuff on the iPod. This is because you must 'Restore' rather than 'Update' to 4.1. Once you have done this you can just jailbreak with greenpo1son, although I can't access the site right now. If you want my personal opinion you should stick with 3.1.3 if you are on the 2G because you don't get native backgrounding and SpringBoard wallpapers on the 2G, it is disabled. Plus it runs slower and JailBreak App support is slow to move over to iOS. Terminal doesn't work on iOS 4.x.x to name one, though there is a compatability version of Terminal out there.
