(G )partition Enabled but is it formatted ? Try using the UnleashX dash and format(G)Partition , you need to format (G) to use it " that is most likely why you dont the other GB's available on your 300 gb drive " .. I don't use Evox so I just don't know how to it on there but on UnleashX i had no problem Formatting (G) .. P.S. Advice for new Softmodders " use UnleashX it's more user friendly. After you learn the basics then you can use other dashboards. Just a Suggestion .

Have you searched the forums to see if you can get most of the 300 GBs of space to format ? It may just be the HD or yur gonna have to get a Modchip to get the Full 300 GB's

Hey guys, I am pretty new at this stuff, and need some help... this seems to be the place to go. I am trying to install a new 300 gig hdd on my softmodded box. I am using the tutorial at the top, (xbhdm tut) and the problem I am running into is that I cannot get into the main screen where you have the three options (1.boot to vga, 2...etc) number 1, I am not sure if my hdd is set to master or not, and if not how would I do that in bios? 2, I might possibly be burning the linux iso wrong... do I burn it as a bootable disc? or as an image? and do I burn JUST the iso file, or is there more? (btw, I am using nero 6 express) any advice from all you pro's would be GREATLY appreciated Thanks!

ok the jumper settings to chancge the hdd to master and back to cs are on the back of the dive close to where you hook it up to the wires. also you do not wanna copy the image to a cd that would be just dragging and dropping you wanna just double click it and follow the onscreen instructions and yes burn it as bootable.

as for the person who cannot play some games i have no idea i did not have the problem you may wanna try reinstalling the soft mod that may work

no pittfan sorry your wrong you have to do the whole plug in the hdd power cord at the first options screen this way your computer bios wont know there is an hdd and it wont try stopping the hdd from locking and unlocking i posted this earlier in this forum as well.

just unplug your hdd power cable, boot to the first menu screen, plug in the cable quickly dont dilly daddle or you might make your computer turn off, then follow the directions from there hope this helps

OK ,So you don't have to worry about the Quick Swap!!! .. Hit the [Pause] key before the pc boots to the BIOS Screen. that will give you all the time in the world to swap the IDE cable then hit the [Spacebar] to countinue the boot .. And also , Yeah you can mess up your puter if you " plug in the "power cable" to a HD while the computer is on " DONT plug in the power cable to the hard drive after the power is already on ! plug in all power plugs before you boot.
