I'm having trouble too. I was able to format, partition, copy over myy C and E drives, and lock the drive without any problems. When I put the drive in my xbox I get the call customer service screen. I'm going to try a few more things, and will update if anything fixes the problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

It doesn't give me an error code, it just says to call customer service. I'm pretty sure I have the right eeprom. I put ConfigMagic on my retail hdd and used that to back up the eeprom. That's what I ftp'd to my computer and put on the xboxhdm disc.

This time I used the eeprom from my E:\UDATA folder, it said it locked successfully, but when I install the drive I still get the call customer service screen.
BTW, I'm trying to upgrade to a 40GB Western Digital (WD400BB-00DEA0) hdd. I've checked online, and it is lockable, I haven't had any problems locking it.

Okay are you putting the eeprom on the Disc or are you putting it on a floppy to lock the Hard Drive ? OK try putting the eeprom.bin on a floppy and try to lock it . It seems the files are missing from C: and/or the Hard drive just Is'nt unlocking .

I have a softmodded xbox and plan using XBMC as my dash.. thanks

ok so i will try to explain this best as i can the bottom line is im trying to install unleashx but i am getting a batch process failed error
    it says exactly this
    Batch process failed.
    The last item was .
    Action: rename

ok so i had an original xbox v1.0 and i had a softmod installed via splintercell xploit and it was working well for a month and i decided i wanted a new hd so i purchased a new hd
Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JB 160GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.....x=0&Go.y=0
at a local shop i followed a perfect tutorial on how to install it i had my whole hard drive backed up to a cd r boot disk and those files were put on the new hd and so i installed the hd flawlessly everything works fine no error 21 or any errors all games play fine, but when i attempt to install the softmod im unable to also if i remove and try to install i cant either, i think im getting the error becasue the dash isnt up to date how would i fix this and i have ftp access to my xbox what files are missing/not needed

    thank you so much

OK I just Bought a 400 GB Seagate HDD for my softmodded xbox and I plug it into my comp. as the master HDD and I put in the boot disk that I made from xboxhdm and it says:

    NO OS FOUND.
PLEASE INSERT OS SETUP DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE.

I put in the disk form xboxhdm and press the Space bar. Then it says:

PLEASE INSERT BOOT DISK AND PRESS ENTER

I need to know what to do. like do I need a iso. for a disk that has the xbox OS on it? If so... where can I get one?

Please help me, My Xbox and my Comp. are both torn apart now because I wanted to do this tonight.

Thanks In Advance For Any Help I Can Get.

P.S. Do I need to disconnect everything form my comp loke doth DVD Drives, Floppy Drive, and/or Power cord to the Slave HDD in my comp.?

    @-DarkTekno
Did you set your CD-ROM as the first boot device In the PC BIOS ?
And When you created the xboxhdm Disc , Did you add the C:/ files from your softmod and add it to the xboxhdm C folder ? , Did you Get your eeprom.bin, etc ?
