I have been thinking about upgrading my old P3 we are using it as a second pc basically for surfing the net and chat, so I'm not worried about upgrading it to a P4 or anything I just want to make it faster at the moment it has only 128 mb ram I know holy moly. I'm thinking the most I need on it would be 256 mb ram and my processor is only 598 mhz so I know I need that upgraded. I don't know too much about the hardware so I was hoping maybe I could get some advice from someone who knows something. I don't know the rest of my specs so if you can inform me on how to do so I will post the rest. Now my question would be would I be better off just purchasing a new bottom of the line pc or getting my old P3 upgraded keep in mine I don't want to upgrade it to a P4.
if u r just using the pc for surfing and chating u dont need more power than that but anyways u could upgrade the ram with a 512mb stick and it would improve ure performance by alot
