Upgrading processor

    I basically have a Dell Dimension 3000 with a pentuim 4 and I have a Pakard Bell with a Celeron and a much better motherboard I bascially want to put my pentuim 4 procssesor into that motherboard can this be done?

    How do you expect us to know.. is it a 478, a 370 or a 775 socket?

    The pentium 4 chip it self or the motherboaard im hoping to put it on?

    Both actually...

    Did you order your 3000 with a P4?, because it comes standard with a Celeron D 330.

    If they are the same socket type, you should be able to swap them without any issues.

    Yeah my Dell came with a P4 built in.
