In short, no. I have no idea what the unit is capable of putting out, but suffice to say I'd make upgrading the power supply more of a priority than the graphics card.
Better safe than Sorry. Just go for a new PSU, I always pick one thats slightly overkill for what I need.
Also, i noticed video cards have the attachment where the monitor goes pluged in. Looking at the back of my computer, the monitor input and mouse and keyboard inputs are on the same slot, so if i were to remove that to plug in the new one, what happens to the mouse and keyboard inputs?
They aren't, they're just next to each other. because your current graphics system is integrated, the monitor plugs into the motherboard just like your mouse/keyboard/whatever else goes. With a dedicated video card, you will be plugging your monitor into a separate card, lower down on the PC.
i ended up buying this one on ebay for 20 bucks : http://www.computerhq.com/ASUS_Rade...700-X_TD_128/hardware/partinfo-id-547421.html your opinions?
I guess that concludes all my questions, thanks so much for your help sammorris, I learned a lot today.
Something like this perhaps? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3401866&CatId=1078 Not exactly cheap, but a quality PSU is very important to have.
