Hey! If you want to go with external case you have to get the 5.25 version. It would be cheaper to buy the case. Go to canada computers..you have the link The DVD is about 100 The case is 45 They have good service and great return policy. With the price of gas the less driving the better!!!
i have never delt with them but if you go to their web page you'll see they have a store in mississauga, toronto & other areas. go there & get a feel of the place & if it feels right than buy but you are the one that has to make the decision not us we just give suggestions
I also have the Presario 2100 laptop. I recently upgraded the system memory to 1GB and it runs great. I also went into the BIOS and changed the dedicated video memory to 128. I haven't used it enough to tell you how MUCH of a difference it makes, but I haven't noticed any problems. I would definitely recommend using the max memory of 1GB. I paid 82 usd at techexpress.com; I believe that was the site. 3d Gaming is now lag-free and my regularly used apps open in a matter of a few seconds.
