Urghh...Windows Media is killing me

    Every since i recently wiped my HDD wmp has been screwed up-everytime i try and play a windows media file-downloaded or streaming- it says cannot create direct show player or an internal error has occured. I usually dont read this forum so hopefully this is the right place. Any....ANY help is appreciated.
