    in the bios under integrated peripherals did you enable the usb 1.1 & 2 controllers? what shows up in device manager under universal serial bus controller? does it show usb enhanced controller & usb 2 root hub??

    Not to be dumb but where is device manager

    2 ways of getting to device manager.
    1: start-control panel-system-device manager
    2: right click my computer icon if on desktop-left click properties-device manager

    what windows are you using?? once in the device manager goto the bottom of the list which is the universal serial bus controller
