    hi

i got a problem when trying to use a usb HDD on my desktop. when i plug it in i get the usual to beeps so it is being recognised. but when i goto my computer some times its there other times its not. when it is there it shows no usable space and apears as a RAW file system. i have tried different USB HDDs and all appear the same but work on other machines. i have also tried other USB devices and they work fine.
    Cheers for any advice

    Danny

sounds like you need need to format the drive. go into my computer and right click and goto format. use either ntft or fat 32(ntfs recommended).

Maybe you've only got USB 1.1 instead of 2.0 ?
