I have just reinstalled Windows (XP PRO) and threw all my old drivers, service packs, etc. on...but now when i plug devices into my USB ports (printer, thumbdrives, PSP...etc)...i get a message telling me that it would run much better in a 2.0 port, and that data transfer will be slow as a result...and IT IS!

this worked before, and when i go to install USB2.0 drivers from my mobo disk (Asus P4S800D)...it tells me 2.0 drivers are included in SP1....which was the first thing i installed.

I also cant find any help on the Asus website....any ideas? thanks!~

you didn't load your usb2 driver off the motherboard cd. see if have enhanced usb controller in device manager as that indicates you have usb2.

ddp.....now in the device manager, USB Controllers has a yellow "?" next to it.

The Mobo CD tells me that SP1 has the drivers I need, and that I already have SP1 running...(actually SP2)...dunno man...

actually....NVM...I found it to work now....thank you very much!!
