usb2.0 video capture dongle

I bought 2 UVC brand white dongles to feed a/v from my set top to my computer. I am currently using an EZCAP 116 and a UVC white, no model #, generic. I do think this one uses drivers as I have the YELLOW CD called simply "VIDEO CAPTURE". The UVC driver version CD is white and is unmarked. I do not know if this CD contains both drivers and software or software only. The driverless version has NO CD included. Does this mean that both versions are driverless? I use my current cap dongles with NCH DEBUT and ARCSOFT SHOWBIZ 3.5. Both work well with both softwares. Audio is fed to the desktop audio line in. The included audio of any dongle I have used do not work.I have found some dongles that do not work at all or very badly. I bought these two as backups. Any thoughts welcome. Please move as needed. I do not know if this is the correct forum. Thanks.
