    Hey guys.

This may sound like a stupid question but...

Is it possible to run an iPhone 3G without a SIM card to basically run it as an iPod Touch?

And would I still be able to Jailbreak it?

Keep in mind, I will not have at all a SIM card to use because I have Verizon so..

Why not unlock the iPhone with your Verizon SIM card? Now, the iPhone is built to run on a GSM network, and Verizon is a CDMA network, so you could run into problems there.

But, to answer your question, yes you can use it without a SIM card inserted. It might get a bit annoying to see the NOT SIM CARD DETECTED message every time you turn on your iPhone, but you could fix that by getting a cheap $10 TracFone and taking the SIM card from it and putting in it your iPhone.

Really now? Verizon doesn't have sim cards and the iPhone doesn't have a CDMA radio in it...
