So today, for whatever reason, I decided it was a good idea to mess up my computer big time by trying to tweak things I knew nothing about. And as anyone could have guessed, I screwed something up. I guess the best place would be to start with the problem.

I have a User Account that is not listed on the startup screen. I still have it, because whenever I tried to create a new one with the same name, it says it already exists.

Ive already went to My Computer > Manage and made sure it wasnt disabled. When reading FAQ's, it said sometimes there are conflicts if the user account and PC name are the same, which they were. I changed my PCs name, restarted, and that didnt work.

Now the part that scares me. Upon browsing help forums, I ran across user account problems due to tampering with the logonui.exe file, which I did change, but it worked fine the first few startups. It only screwed up when I made another user account.

Any ideas on how to get back on my usual user account would be GREATLY appreciated.

In the user accounts it allows you to make a new account but u can make a copy of one of the existing accounts do that and remove the one that is giving you the conflict and see if it is on the list of users when u log off or restart.
