Using Action Replay Codes on your R4/M3 Simply

Hey in you're guide, you're telling us to find C:\Program Files\Datel\Action Replay Code Manager\local_codelists. Yeah well I can't seem to find it. Where do you get it o_o?

Hey, i dont understand the last part, "Now open the card again and navigate to the system folder. Copy the new usrcheat.dat file to that folder and you are done " What do you mean the card?

-Nevermind, found out But it's weird cuz my 4gb r4sdhc only holds 7 games..

when i use platinum us version it wont show Y 4 da cheat

 

It won't let me update my R4.

 

after I updated my r4 to 1.18 version it doesn't load animore. It's just loading... , loading... and loading... I wanted to know why. Thank you.

I just tried this out today and I followed the directions but I cant get it to work. I turned it on and press start on my replay but I get stuck on the top screen saying "loading". can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hey I got a problem, everytime I open the AR Code Manager (US Version) it says load fail where the list of codes should be.

 

I followed your instructions and only some of my games have cheat codes and some don't! Weird! HELP!

 

How did you get it to work? No one has addressed this issue in this forum and it's been repeated quite a few times. I've encountered the same issue and can't seem to get around it!

 

Just Update the firmware! it also depends on what kind of R4 you have if you have the original R4 and not R4 Ultra make sure you're running a 2g sd card and not higher. R4 Ultra takes 4g to 8g i think.

 

Ok, I've gone through all these steps, I even had to go get an old version of the Action Replay because the new one wouldn't load/connect (No firewall, I bareback the internet, baby). Finally when everything seemed to be falling into place...

I turned my DS on... "The hardware is not compatible" WUT

I have an M3Simply. I updated to the R4 firmware linked here, and that was the error message I got - my M3simply apparently doesn't like the R4 firmware. Except what's funny (or dumb), the latest firmware says "m3 simply patched from R4".

I put the M3simply 1.18 back on and it at least turns on, BUT the cheats do not work. I already had a CHEATS.DAT on there (no idea where that came from, was just already there, would assume my currently working cheats are on there, I just wanted MORE) but it doesn't want to load usrcheat.dat apparently.

I don't know what to do anymore. I'm so disenchanted at the moment. Please, someone enlighten me. My boyfriend's cycloDS works perfectly with very little work and digging around on the internet for questionable sources. I'm jealous.

I've been working on this for about three hours. I give up. I wanted to let everyone know, who is currently in my boat right now, another way - just go find a cheat.dat that is for your card.

http://cheats.gbatemp.net/ is the best/current/most-updated one I could find, but the cheats vary from source to source so if the cheats don't exist on this list for your game, try another cheat.dat elsewhere. I took 12_08_09_CHEAT.DAT.zip from that list, I am not sure what the rest are, I suppose it must differ from card/firmware and you should be familiar with your own. If not, just download them all and mix-n-match until you find the one that works.

I know, this is not a way to get your own Action Replay or custom codes on here, I'm sorry, but I'm tired and frustrated and figure other people might be too, so this is perhaps an option in the meantime.

Hi hopefully you can help.I have a DS Lite and am using N5 card (ie the clone of r4) with N5i software using moonshell 2.10 on a 4gb sd card and have just got the ACTION REPLAY DS EZ. The AR works as it should till l put the N5 card in, it just restarts and loads the N5 card as normal. Have tried to follow your guide but there is some differecne as either it has not made a code xml or am not doing something. Please help if you can

P.S has anyone tried a 16gb sd card as l wish to have everything on the same card instead of having to change sd card all the time

But that's the issue, I did update the firmware to the 1.18 R4 and followed all the rules that were set forth, even played around with things when all other options didn't work. But still, it keeps freezing. I have a 2 gb SD card and an R4 I'm pretty sure is legit. So I don't know where to go from here, am I not using the right firmware?

 

Can anybody tell me that what is the code to get Pokemon Platinum on the A.R ?
