Using Action Replay Codes on your R4/M3 Simply

Apparently, this isn't what I though.
OK, just clear up something, this Action Replay list will only work with ROMs?

 

Sorry for the double post, but I think I waited too much since I make this post, considering that this is a active topic.

Anyways, I think I know:

I need the actionreplay.nds to use the codes, right?

 

No, the m3 r4 with the current fw versions supports these codes natively...

 

Then if I just need the .DAT file, what I have to do to execute my codes? also, no one answered if this only works in ROMs.

 

This only works with roms on a microSD card in a M3/R4. I am having trouble running the cheats as when I enable the cheats and load the rom, I get a white screen. when I disable the cheats I get animal crossing loading succesfully. What on earth have I done wrong?

Sites besides like codejunkies, and the popular ones, because they have sucky codes.

when I try to import the file it says "the xml file format is error"

is that because I tried to add a cheat?

How do you add more cheats to your usrcheat.dat?

 

i did every thing ur guide told me to do.. all i need help with is i need to know where to put the cheat folder i put it in the system and i updated my m3 and i turned it on and nothing happened....i made the xml into a .DAT file and everything

I have a quick question maybe I am doing something wrong but the step I am getting stuck at is the last step where you are supposed to put the .dat file in the system folder on the card ...on my sandisk 512 microsd card I do not have a system folder just a gamesave folder...any help would be greatly appreciated

No he probably does not but I have a question that i'm pulling my hair on! I did all the steps PERFECTLY! (from the time that 1.08 was the newest firmware is old...there is 1.10 I think)I EVEN DOWNGRAGED FROM 1.10 TO 1.08!...nothing... it even loaded the CODEJUNKIES subscripion (why some people its not loading the subcription is because I use Windows XP!)i got the XML... opened cheat editor...opened the XML,...then saved it as usrcheat.dat...last I dragged the usrcheat.dat to the "system folder" and booted my R4 (yes I have an R4 w/ NEWEST FIRMWARE)....and no "Y" button appears to activte cheats!!! its like I NEVER put them on! (in the system folder i even have the CHEAT.dat file!)Sorry for shouting :[ and for this long post! but I've been working on this crap for about an hour and na-da...
If someone can respond to this i be glad to because im stuck on Elite Beat Agents and i want to beat just this one level (jumpin jack flash...on the 3rd agent) to cheat and go on w/ the game w/o cheating
