using external sond card for aduio converter

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829128010 i was looking for a audio converter that would take fiber in, and convert it to front, rear, and sub in 3.5 mm connectors, would this do this, im askign because it say s/pdif IN. so will it take a signal coming into it will it output the 5.1 audio thru the 3.5 jacks?
