I've used EZCD Creator's Video Impression to convert my avi files to mpegs. Then I used EZCD Creator's VCD Creator to try to make a VCD but the VCD doesn't play in stand alone DVD players. Am I missing any steps or what? Help me please.

First of all, __DON'T USE__ Easy CD's own MPEG encoding, it produces horrible quality. Use TMPGEnc for converting AVIs to MPEG-1.

Normal stuff what has to be checked when you burn, whatever software you use:

    -don't burn faster than 4x -- 1x is ideal
-always "close disc" (or "finalize" or whatever, terms depend on software), otherwise it wont work
-generally don't use CDRWs, but use CDRs instead (with exception of Sony players who normally require CDRWs instead of CDRs)
