Hi all and thank you for allowing me to join.

I would like to use my flat screen tv as my desktop pc monitor. my tv (television) has a pc input, would I just connect the pc to the tv?

I apologise if this seems a very simple task, I am so bad at pc tech stuff.... Also my pc is a few years old running on XP, I have no cables for the TV 2 pc, as sold the monitor and gave the cable that connects it in the sale.

If it is as simple as pluging in a cable would the sound from watching DVD on the pc come out the tv? Many thanks for you help and advice Mel

I used a VGA Monitor cable to connect my pc to my tv, and for sound i use external speakers out of pc. Very little cost and simple for me.
