    1) moviea are often split on 2 CDs, for VCDs, or even 3 CDs for SVCDs.
    2) There are lot of guides http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ or 'sticky' threads http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 to make movies. No one suggest to use Nero to encode the movie, but to make a (S)VCD from an already encoded mpeg-1/2 or an authored DVD image.

In general: if the movie's quality is great, make a DVD. If not, make a (S)VCD movie (and put more of them on a DVD, if you want to burn the stuff on a DVD-R).

Be careful on fact thet on the AVI --> mpeg conversions, sometimes the the sound can become un-sync (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/129217). Load the AVI with VirtualDub, first. A fast check that makes you to prevent such problem.
