Using Nero CDspeed and other utilities in 6.6.14

    After checking some work I learned from a colleage that
    the dvd I made could not be viewed.


    Up to this point, I have no need to use Nero utilities
    because I checked the work and it played in my Sony
    dvd player. Well, I was made to feel like a jackass because
    I didn't use CdSpeed and whatever other utils that would give a clue
    to a bad burn.

    I loaded the utils with a blank dvd -- not wanting to damage
    any completed work. This did not give any results.


    Is there a guide here for using the utils to check work
    so people like my colleague can view the thing? Or is it
    perhaps not my probelm at all?


    What sort of test results say the burn is good?
    What sort of test disk should be used and is there
    one that is better to do testing?

    Also, it may not be anything in particular you are doing wrong, but rather an incompatability issue with your buddies stand alond player. If you are using DVD+R blanks try booktyping them...
