First off i should list my programs....clonecd,clonedvd,anydvd,nero7,alcohol,getdiz,.few others.

i have no problems backing up my discs directly...but how/and what to use do you convert files into ? and convert back and keep quality? if i have a .rar file cd1 cd2....how to put on one disc/and which kind? and burn as a dvd? just the movie....sorry if this is basic?? how would you go about it? best procedure...best tools...

also..clone divides into ccd image, disc image, .sub.....a brief run down on what these are thanks...........

Do you have the program WinRar? This is what you will need to extract those .rar files.

Well seeing how you have WinRar go ahead and extract the files to your hard drive and then let's see what kind of files you have then. You should be able to double click on the first file and it will extract all of the files together at once.

To merge a split movie into 1,you can try a program called convertXtodvd
just load the first avi in,then the 2nd on top,and convert it
    its very easy to use

i have that but haven't used it yet....can i use nero 7 or power video converter.....

also is there a link on how to use it correctly...or any of these that will work well.......

also....getting mad at new users by some doesn't help...everyone was a newbie at one time....i have learned teaching can be as rewarding to the teacher as the student....but some should leave these forums....bad attitudes............

You dont really need a tut showing you how to use convertXtodvd tbh,its quite easy
just open it up,drag and drop both avi's in there together, and click convert, easy as taking candy off a baby

only really a couple of settings you should be concerned about

file size output>set that to 4300mb
    quality>low/med/high
    burn speed> x4
you can play around with the other settings, but thats basically it?

    30 hours HOLY S--T!

I would go with what hursty has suggested I believe that ConverXtoDVD will do this much quicker.
