Using second HD for windows home theatre.

    Hey guys i was just wondering, i have an old 8 gig hard drive sat around doing nothing and i was wondering if i could use it to install widows media centre on it to use for my tv but if i want to watch a film o the tv say do i have to hve the film on the same hd as media centre

    I am assuming you are doing this to avoid a re-partitioning of your main hard drive? It is possible, however your 8GB drive is probably slow. As long as you are just booting off it and don't mind the wait, sure.

    Why install MCE?
    What OS are you running now?
    What do you need to do, that makes you want MCE?
    There are plenty of PVR apps that will make a normal XP computer act like MCE, without the cost.
